Terms of Service
Effective date: February 19, 2026
Welcome to YourShelf. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use YourShelf.
1. About the Service
YourShelf is a link-in-bio platform that lets you create a profile page showcasing your media taste — films, TV shows, books, video games, and music — along with social links. The service is available at yourshelf.co and is operated by an independent developer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use YourShelf. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. Accounts
You can create an account using Google sign-in or a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may only maintain one account.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you add to your profile, such as your bio, links, and media selections. By using YourShelf, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display your content as part of the service (for example, on your public profile page). This license ends when you remove the content or delete your account.
Media metadata (titles, poster images, descriptions) is provided by third-party APIs (TMDB, Spotify, IGDB, Hardcover) and remains the property of their respective owners.
5. Pro Plan
YourShelf offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. The Pro plan unlocks additional features such as premium themes, premium fonts, a header backdrop (sourced from film or game imagery, or uploaded as a custom file), exclusive shelves, and custom poster artwork for select shelves (films, TV shows, books, directors, actors & games). Payment is processed through Stripe. For details on billing, cancellations, and refunds, please see our Subscription Terms and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
When using YourShelf, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Post content that is hateful, obscene, or promotes violence
- Upload nudity, sexually explicit, or NSFW material as your avatar or header image — such content may be removed without notice and may result in account suspension or a permanent ban
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure
Adult content links: Links to explicit third-party platforms (such as OnlyFans or similar services) will cause your profile to be flagged as adult content. Visitors to a flagged profile will be required to confirm they are 18 or older before viewing it.
7. Intellectual Property
The YourShelf name, logo, design, and codebase are the property of the project creator. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without permission. Third-party media data displayed on the platform belongs to its respective rights holders.
8. Disclaimers
YourShelf is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. Media data from third-party APIs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YourShelf and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, and we may delete your account data.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of YourShelf after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, you can reach us at contact@yourshelf.co.
